Ummah Link News (ULN) is the world’s Muslim source of true and intelligent information for public in general, businesses and professionals.
We have been considering since long to have our own media and the first step to have our own media reporting agency so that the truth prevails.
We have noticed that the News Media is monopolized by few in the World and they failed to bring the truth to the public or failed to get their front end display media to bring the truth. We have taken up to keep the truthfulness with the help of Muslim dedicated reporters to bring the truth in front of the world and combine industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to leading decision makers in the political, financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare and media markets, powered by the world’s Islamic news organization by gathering and dissemination of information and news..
Keeping in view the above, we developed a Platform so that so that we fulfill our commitments by taking up news reporting service voluntarily. We need volunteers having news reporting aptitude, exposed to computer operating experience. We provide a Platform where they can login and write the news from their town, upload photos and also news videos which are directly directed to their place in our news agency portal www.ummahlink.org via an editor. It is all automatic and controlled via tested software. We give the RSS feeds to all the news papers and individual emails. We can bridge the entire Muslim World via Ummah Link so that any incidence or news from any part of the world is reported and recorded to have a check on atrocities or injustice on our brothers and sisters and at the same time be in touch with latest in the world. It is all managed by a None-for-Profit Trust.
Our Principles:
1. That ULN shall at no time allow to pass into the hands of any one interest, group or faction;
2. That the integrity, independence, sincerity and freedom from bias of ULN shall at all times be fully protected;
3. That ULN shall supply the true, unbiased and reliable news services to newspapers, news agencies, broadcasters and other media subscribers and to businesses governments, institutions, individuals and others with whom ULN has or may have contracts;
4. That ULN shall pay due regard to the all sectors which it serves in addition to those of the media; and other organizations.
5. That it shall expand, develop and adapt the news and other services and products so as to maintain its leading position in the international news and information resources.
Everything we do as ULN journalists has to be independent, free from bias and executed with Islamic values of the utmost integrity. These are our basic values and stem from the Ummah Link News. As a real-time, competitive news service whose reputation rests on reliability, we also value accuracy, speed and exclusivity. The way in which we, as ULN, live these values is governed by Islamic values. That code, with a few notable exceptions that apply specifically to journalists, governs the behavior of all ULN voluntary reporters and is essential. As journalists, however, we have additional responsibilities if we are to fulfill the highest aspirations of our profession to search for and report the truth, fairly, honestly and infallibly.
To start with ULN reporting source shall be entirely on voluntary reporting but not limited to and can be based on employed reporters. The area of operation shall be entire world.
There are different types of Islamic journalism practiced across text, television, News papers and on-line reporting. No single definition of our art applies to them all. What must unite us is the honesty, integrity and Islamic values. We often face difficult choices in the pursuit of better stories and superior images. In such situations there are several “right” answers and the rules we use run out. We can, however, guard against damage to our reputation through a shared understanding of the fundamental principles that govern our work.
The reporting shall be based on Islamic principles expressing the truth but the following shall form the crest of reporting:-
1. Always hold accuracy sacred
2. Always correct an error openly while reporting
3. Always strive for truth balance reporting and freedom from bias
4. Always reveal a conflict of interest, if any to the Administrator
5. Always respect privileged information
6. Always protect the source of news from the authorities
7. Always guard against putting their opinion in a news story
8. Never fabricate or pad up the story
9. Never alter a still or moving image beyond the requirements of normal image enhancement
10. Never pay for a story and never accept a bribe
This is a honorable start to fulfill our goal so that we provide the truth to the entire world and not bullied by our enemies by maligning Islam and Muslims of the world. The facts so reported are published in many International News Portals like Peace Times etc. We need you all to take serious interest in promoting the cause.
May Allah bless and accept this effort – Ameen.
