Two charged over Coventry brothers crash deaths

A man and woman have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash which killed two young brothers in Coventry.

Corey and Casper Platt-May – aged six and two – were heading to a park when they were hit by a car on Thursday.

Robert Brown, 53, and Gwendoline Harrison, 41, are due to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court later.

Mr Brown is also charged with driving while disqualified and without a licence or insurance.

Ms Harrison also faces a common assault allegation.

Det Sgt Paul Hughes, from West Midlands Police, thanked the public for their help and said officers are continuing to support the family at this “devastating time”.
